Jinnah Cricket Club History
PAKISTANSKA FÖRENINGEN BOTKYRKA
Jinnah Cricket Club.
Pakistanska society was found in 1979. In those days society had a football club which took part in Swedish cup.
In 1989 few guys bought a bat and a tennis ball and started to play cricket in Fittja.
A new migrated guy named Nayar Dar came with the suggestion that pakistan society should start a Cricket Team, as he has been playing high level Cricket in Pakistan, In 1990 Föreningen started a cricket team named Jinnah cricket club. We approached the Botkyrka Komun and we got our own cricket ground in Hallunda.
As no body in the Komun knew any thing about cricket, we got free hands to make a Cement pitch of our own, The players built Cement pitch with their own hands and repair the ground as well. Under the captaincy of Nayyar Dar we started to play friendly matches and soon we could manage to build a full-fleded team.
In 1990 we took part in six a side tournament arranged by Sigtuna CC and a year later in the Swedish cup and won the both. The same year we started our own tournament called Quaid e Azam trophy which was won by Pakistan CC.
In 1992 Jinnah cricket club took part in the Swedish national tournament and came runner-up.
Under the Nayyar Dar captaincy Jinnah CC clamoured and got respect among cricket teams in Sweden.
After this departure from Swedish Jinnah has been alive but couldn't win any big events.
But we kept alive Quaid e Azam trophy and opened a cricket school as well.
The Cricket school got a lot of support from Botkyrka commune and is appreciated by the community as well. In those 12 years the school has provided many good players like Qasib, Tauqeer Asad Nobel and, many others.
In Year 2003 Svea cricket club emerged with Jinnah cricket club and got a well experienced and very respectful man Adnan as a captain. In the same year we started an other cricket team named Jinnah b, for players under 20 most of them had gone through our cricket school... In that year Jinnah won the Swedish national cup and Quid e Azam trophy as well.
In 2004 many new guys from Afghanistan joined the club and Jinnah become an unbeaten team.
In 2004 some thing happened very surprisingly when our youngster team Jinnah b won the Swedish national cup as they beat their seniors in the semi final and a very strong team Pakistan cc in the finals and won even quaid e azam trophy as well under the captancy of Tauqeer.
In year 2005 Jinnah cc won once again and for the third year in a row they won the Swedish national cup and own trophy as they beat spånga cc in the finals.
Under the captaincy of Sadat khan.
The summary for the short history Jinnah cc won twice Swedish cup,
Once Nordic cup and once runner-up
Three times a row the Swedish nation cup once runner-up
And own quaid e Azam trophy 7times out of 12.
In the running year 2006 , our both teams Jinnah a and Jinnah b
